Complete Booking Process (Every Step)
Step 1: Calculate Your Booking Date
Example:
Today is: 12 February 2026
You can book for: 12 April 2026 (60 days from today)
Booking opens at: 12:00 PM (noon) on 12 February
Common Mistake: People try to book at midnight (12 AM). Wrong! Slots open at 12 noon.
Step 2: Visit the Official Booking Page
- Go to shrimahakaleshwar.com
- Click on "Bhasma Aarti Booking" in the main menu
- You'll see a calendar showing available dates
Pro Tip: If the website is slow, try using Google Chrome in Incognito mode. It's faster.
Step 3: Select Your Date & Number of People
- Click on the date you calculated in Step 1
- Select number of devotees (Max 5 per booking)
- Enter the primary contact's mobile number & email
- Click "Proceed to Details"
Critical: You have 10 minutes to complete the booking after selecting the date. Keep your details ready!
Step 4: Fill Personal Details (All Devotees)
You need to enter these details for every person:
- Full Name (exactly as on Aadhar card)
- Age
- Gender
- Aadhar Card Number (mandatory for all)
- Mobile Number (at least for primary person)
Important: You'll need to show original Aadhar cards at the temple gate. No Aadhar = No entry, even with confirmed booking!
Step 5: Make Payment
Total Cost: ₹250 × Number of People
Payment methods accepted:
- Debit/Credit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, RuPay)
- UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm)
- Net Banking
⏰ Timer Alert: You have only 10 minutes to complete payment. If timer runs out, your slot is released to others!
Step 6: Download Your E-Ticket
After successful payment:
- You'll receive a confirmation SMS & Email
- Download the E-Ticket PDF from the confirmation page
- Save a screenshot as backup

On the Day of Bhasma Aarti
Arrival Time
Reach by 3:00 AM (Aarti starts at 4 AM). Gates close at 3:45 AM sharp!

- Modest clothing (no shorts/sleeveless)
- NO mobile phones inside (leave in car or locker)
Special Bhasma Aarti Gate
Enter through the West Gate (marked "Bhasma Aarti Entrance"). Show your e-ticket and Aadhar at security.
No Phones? How to Take Photos?
You can't. The Bhasma Aarti is a sacred, intimate ritual. Photography is strictly prohibited. Be present in the moment!
Common Problems & Solutions
"No Slots Available" Error
Solution: Refresh every 30 seconds starting at 11:55 AM. Slots appear exactly at noon. Be patient and keep trying for 5-10 minutes.
Payment Failed but Money Deducted
Solution: Amount is auto-refunded in 5-7 days. Check your email for transaction ID. Don't try to book again immediately.
Forgot to Download E-Ticket
Solution: Check your email. The confirmation email has a download link valid for 30 days. Or login to the portal using your mobile number.
Want to Cancel/Reschedule
Solution: NOT POSSIBLE. Bhasma Aarti bookings are 100% non-refundable and non-transferable. Choose your date carefully!
What If Bhasma Aarti is Fully Booked?
Don't worry! You still have these beautiful options:
1 Regular Morning Darshan (7 AM)
Free entry, no booking needed. Still very spiritual experience.
2 Sandhya Aarti (7 PM)
Evening aarti with lamps and bells. Equally divine.
3 Night Darshan (8-11 PM)
Peaceful, less crowded. My personal favorite!

Can I book for more than 5 people?
No. Maximum 5 people per booking. If you have a larger group, make multiple bookings with different mobile numbers/emails.
Is there a dress code for Bhasma Aarti?
